POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Stone Research Foundation (SRF) is seeking a full-time Research Fellow in Orthopaedics.

This fellowship offers a broad range of projects from basic science to translational and clinical studies that will result in several publications and poster presentations at national and international conferences. This will also provide a unique opportunity to build connections in the orthopaedic community.

As a Research Fellow, you will be responsible for: (1) developing basic science and clinical studies in orthopaedics, biologics, and cell biology (2) prepare presentations and manuscripts for dissemination; (3) preparing grant applications. The position works in close partnership with the orthopaedic surgeon and CEO, Dr. Stone; the Senior Director of Research and Operations, Mani Vessal, MA, PhD; and the research team.

Qualifications:

·       M.D. / Ph.D. or equivalent

·       Demonstrated knowledge in orthopaedic science and experience in a clinical research environment

·       Experience with grant and manuscript writing

·       Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage competing priorities

·       Capacity to handle multiple projects; set priorities, maintain flexibility, and meet deadlines

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Highly analytical with problem-solving skills

·       Ability to take initiative and work independently

·       Energetic, hard-working, and a team player

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving atmosphere
