Improving Patient Care

IMPROVING STANDARDS OF CARE. We believe that the standard of care in orthopaedics can always be improved upon. Every day, we must strive to do things better than we did the day before.

REVOLUTIONIZING ORTHOPAEDICS. We are in the midst of a revolution in orthopaedics—tissue engineering is replacing a more mechanical approach to joint repair: we have been at the forefront of this transformation for over a decade. Combining growth factors and adult mesenchymal stem cells with tissue grafts and biologically-based tissue implants, we seek to use a patient's own healing and regenerative capacities to rebuild joint tissues damaged by arthritis or injury.

WE NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF THE RETURN ON INVESTMENT. We project  we are 5 years away from biologic total joint replacement options for patients like you. These minimally invasive treatment options will result in regenerated tissue—your own human tissue—functioning as much as possible like a young, healthy joint. This means an end to joint replacements with metals and plastics—massive, last-resort surgical procedures that leave you at a limited activity level and with few options should the surgery fail.

WHAT THIS MEANS TO PATIENTS. We aim to keep people active and pain free throughout their lives. This allows you to work and play longer and harder, thus avoiding the suffering caused by a sedentary life: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, and loss of productivity.
